On Friday, Aug. 15, IU Northwest lost a devoted and beloved
friend and employee. George Washington James Adair III was
a member of the Physical Plant custodial staff who was known
for his long hair, laid-back attitude and helpful disposition.
He could often be seen setting up or taking down tables,
chairs and equipment for one of the many campus events that
his efforts helped to make possible, but George was never
too busy for a quick hello, a friendly wave or a pleasant
conversation. George was a hard worker, and his willingness
to put forth extra effort whenever necessary never failed
to make things easier for those he worked with. On a campus
full of friendly faces, George's was one of the friendliest,
and he will be sorely missed.
We invite you to share your thoughts, memories and/or to
