Prerequisite
Proficiency two years of high school algebra or at least a C in M014. Specifically, you should be able to:
  • Do calculations with fractions and decimals.
  • Do calculations with positive and negative numbers.
  • Simplify and evaluate expressions involving exponents.
  • Solve linear equations.
  • Solve systems of two linear equations in two variables.
  • Draw the graph of a linear equation.
  • Translate simple word problems into algebraic equations.
