Attendance
- Attendance is considered mandatory.
- Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each class.
If you are late, it is your responsibility to have your
attendance properly recorded.
- If you have a documented legitimate reason for missing
class, see the instructor for getting credit for the class
you missed.
- Please, do not ask for credit for a particular class
at a later date.
Homework
- Homework assignments will be done using MyMathLab.
- The homework assignment for a section will become available
on the day the section is discussed in class. You will have
approximately one week to finish the assignment. For instance,
if a section is completed on Monday, you will be required
to finish the homework for that assignment by midnight of
the following Sunday.
- Once the assignment becomes available and until it is
due, you can work on the assignment until it is finished
to your satisfaction. Once the assignment is due, the assignment
can no longer be accessed.
- The homework assignments are clearly indicated in the
MyMathLab calendar.
- You should plan to spend 2-3 for each class period reading
the lesson, studying your notes, and doing the assigned
homework.
Quizzes
- There will be frequent unannounced quizzes
throughout the course.
- The quiz will consist of three to five problems from
the recent homework assignments and problems that were
discussed in class.
- There will be no makeup quizzes unless in case of
emergency and the student has
documented evidence.
- The two lowest quiz score will be dropped. If
you miss a quiz, it will be one of the two quizzes you
drop.
