A quiz
will follow the completion of the Arithmetic, Real Numbers,
Linear Functions, Polynomials, and Rational Expression sections during the next
regularly scheduled class. However, if the student
finishes the material early, the quiz may be taken early.
Furthermore, if the student did not pass or wants to improve
their grade, the quiz may be retaken the following class
until the due date of the objective has expired. All
those students, regardless whether they have completed the
material or not, and have not passed the quiz,
must be present in class on the day following due date to
take the quiz. The student may
bring a note card the size of a 3x5 index card.
The midterm exam will
follow the Linear Equation section on Monday, October 20 and the final exam will
be on Monday, December 8. The student is
required to be present
in class for each exam. The final exam will
emphasize material covered since the midterm exam.
Please share these dates with your employer, if necessary,
so they can plan on not requiring your services during those
class periods. The student may bring a note card the
size of a 3x5 index card.
Immediately after
the above due dates, the system advances the student to the
next section even if the student has not completed it.
Therefore, it is imperative that the student progresses
through the material at a pace that will guarantee they
finish each section in the required time period.
Accelerated Study
A student who completes
all of
the material prior to the end of the course will be allowed
to take the final exam at that time. The course grade
will be determined solely by the score on the exam. If
the student is satisfied with this grade, then this will be
the final grade. If the student is not satisfied, the
student will have to restudy those sections missed on the
exam before trying again.
Attendance
Daily attendance is encouraged,
but not required. An instructor will be present to
help the student with any questions during regular class
time. Attendance
is required
for each in-class assessment.
