Melony A.
Blissmer – Valparaiso has been employed with Buckeye Pipe Line
Company as a District Environmental Coordinator for the past three
years. Her work includes environmental regulatory compliance,
emergency response, project management, and training for facilities
and pipeline in four states. She has also had experience working for
the City of Hammond and the State of Indiana in environmental
capacities. She has received her Graduate Certificate in
Environmental Affairs and she is pursuing a Master’s in Public
Affairs. She spends a lot of time with her daughter and her
activities, such as horseback riding, soccer, and Girl Scouts. She
also enjoys scuba diving, skiing, and traveling. |

Chris Drapeau – La Porte is currently
employed as a Security Officer with La Porte Hospital and is a Cadet
in IU Northwest Army Reserve Officer Training Corp. He also serves
as the Regional Institute of Religion Student Council President for
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has fulfilled
many calls to leadership and service over the past 10 years. Chris
is passionate about serving others and making a positive difference
in the world. He hopes to attend law school, obtain a masters and
doctorate in political science and spend the majority of his life
serving God and the United States of America doing his part to keep
this country free and safe. He expects to graduate with a Bachelor
of Arts in Political Science in 2009 and soon after commission as an
Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. |

La Toya Pryor – Portage is a Respiratory
Therapist employed by Total Home Health Inc. in Elgin, IL. La Toya
earned her Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Indiana
University Northwest in December of 2004. She is currently pursuing
a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with a concentration in
Health Services Administration. She plans to use this degree to
further inform, educate, and provide medical information and
services to her community. Recently, God enlarged the territory of
La Toya and her husband, Dante’, when He blessed him to become
Pastor of a church. Here, La Toya serves God as a High School Sunday
School teacher and a member of the choir, praise team, women’s
ministry, co-choreographer of the dance ministry, and community
outreach activities. La Toya and her husband do not have any
children, but her eight brothers and sisters are close enough. |

Dana Snodgrass – Crown Point is a senior who
will graduate in May 2008. She then hopes to pursue her master’s in
social work. She currently is a restaurant manager in Hobart, but
after school would like to open her own counseling center to help
children and teens. Dana is actively involved in the Supplemental
Instruction Program at school as well as the Southlake Children’s
Choir. Dana is the single parent of one daughter. |

Tiffney Smith – Gary is the presiding
President of IU Northwest Computer Club. Currently she is employed
at IU Northwest as a program assistant intern for the Center for
Excellence in Teaching and Learning. She is also a webmaster for The
International Alliance for Invitational Education. In the past, she
has been employed by the Gary Community School Corporation as a
paraprofessional for visual impaired students. Tiffney is a very
creative self motivated woman, and demonstrates this by producing
music and creating her own natural skin care line called Natruane’.
Upon graduating in the Spring of 2008 with her Bachelor of Science
degree in Computer Information System and minor in Accounting she
wants to become a system analysis and also aspires to expand her
skin care line. |

Dianna White – Merrillville is a junior
studying business and finance. Dianna is also the President and
Founder of For, M.E. (Minority Entrepreneurs) in Gary, IN at Indiana
University Northwest. She is a member of the Dean’s Undergraduate
Student Advisory Board of the School of Business and Economics and
the BSU (Black Student Union). She is the journalist, advertising
and business manager for the Northwest Phoenix. Her career objective
includes a PhD in business and owning a successful business. |
