The Institute for Innovative Leadership is a partnership between IU Northwest and Northwest Indiana's community and business leadership throughout all sectors. The Institute is designed to create a binding link between educational experience and leadership practice.

The Leadership Development Program is the core of the Institute. Through this program upper level students who have demonstrated strong leadership potential will be competitively selected to participate in an exciting and challenging set of activities.

During two consecutive semesters, students will listen to and learn from established leaders, who will share their wisdom and experience. The Leadership Development Program combines weekly sessions with small group discussion, mentoring, and individual counseling by highly skilled coaches to enhance the leadership growth experience.

Participants in the program will have opportunities to network with recognized professionals and highly successful leaders. Students will gain valuable practical information and insights, while increasing their confidence and understanding of personal skills and abilities. Upon graduation a student will continue to enjoy involvement in services and activities of the Institute.
