Mission

The mission of the Institute is to prepare future leaders in an environment that links talented students with seasoned community leaders, through a guided experience that intentionally connects students with authentic leadership problems and solutions. 

Vision

To create award winning, nationally recognized programs, that are models for motivating, training and channeling highly talented individuals into positions of increasingly responsible leadership.

Goals

Students who participate in the Institute's Leadership Development Program are part of an effort, which promotes excellence through a dynamic set of goals: To

• Guide the emerging leader through the acquisition and refinement of knowledge, skills, and confidence;
• Provide exposure to leadership practices through innovative and provocative sessions, activities and training;
• Identify and recognize successful leadership performance;
• Provide opportunities for established and emerging leaders to build effective networks;
• Teach the timeless principles of effective leadership; and
• Link the Institute to fiscal and human resources dedicated to leadership development at all levels.
