All users are responsible for complying with Indiana University’s
ITPO Computer
Users' Privileges and Responsibilities Code of Conduct at all time.
Any violation of these University-wide policies will be reported to the
University IT Policy Office and
subject users to the termination of their workstation privileges and user
network account as well as any fees, fines, or damages incurred by the
violation of said policies. Additional IU IT Policies are located on the
IU Northwest Office of Information Technology website.
Lab Etiquette
The following lists etiquette that must be followed by all computer lab
users.
- Must be a currently enrolled student to enter the Student Technology Center.
- No cell / ear phones.
- No food or drink inside any Student Technology Center.
- Children are not allowed in any STC.
- No loud or disruptive behavior.
- No Pornography.
- Audible sounds and music are not allowed.
- Use of headphones are allowed.
- No conduct which might result in damage to equipment or software.
- 5-Minute Limit on Internet browsing and e-mail not specifically related
to a current academic requirement during peak usage periods.
- No wired laptop connections...only wireless is allowed.
These policies are in place to promote a productive educational environment. Violators of these policies will be referred to campus police. Continued violations may result in a loss of computing privileges.
