The Office of Diversity & Equity (ODE) of IU Northwest
is seeking a 75%-time (30 hours/wk) professional individual to serve as the
office’s Director of Affirmative Action. This position provides
campus-wide direction and expertise in complaint investigation, affirmative
action data interpretation, hiring processes, ADA guidelines, and compliance
training. The Director will design and deliver workshops and provide an
educational presence on the ODE website containing helpful hints, resources
and announcements in the IU Northwest community on behalf of the ODE.
Qualifications: Must have a 4 year degree
in criminology, education, labor relations, psychology, human resources,
paralegal or related field. The position requires at least 5 years of
progressive experience in compliance and training settings, preferably in
higher education, serving diverse populations. Other requirements include
competent investigation and reporting skills, data compilation and
interpretation of results, knowledge of Affirmative Action laws and
proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word.
