Activities:
Bill's first exposure to computer information systems started at Standard Equipment and Supply in Hammond, IN. Over the years, Bill has done programming or database design for such companies as Inland Steel and Bank One. His first job as a programmer analyst was at Homewood Flossmore School District 233. In the spring of 1983, he began part-time teaching at Purdue Calumet. He became a full-time visiting instructor in 1985.
Bill started as a full-time member of the CIS department in the fall of 1990. Current projects include free lance writing for the Shelly Cashman series. Bill's first text books, JavaScript: Introductory Concepts and Techniques and JavaScript: Complete Concepts and Techniques written with Jeff Quasney were updated to second editions in summer of 2000. Bill recently contributed to HTML: Complete Concepts and Techniques , written with Denise Woods, and published March 2002. Bill's HTML: Complete Concepts and Techniques book is now up to the 5th Edition, and will be published by November 2008.
