The ISEA of IUN is a chapter under the Indiana State Teacher's Association. We are a student group with an executive board made up of a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. We also have a faculty advisor from the School of Education.
Our purpose for existing is to help students who are preparing to enter, or are already in, one of the teachers education programs here at IUN. We provide support for the Praxis testing (such as workshops), opportunities for communicating with students who have "already been there and done that", and plenty of opportunities for professional development.
Our goals are to educate about and improve teacher quality, show a strong interest and involvement in the surrounding community, and help others to see the importance of taking political action.
We are the future teachers of this country and we need to take an interest in what laws and policies are going to affect our future students. We are their support system and responsible for helping them to become intelligent individuals. To become of member of ISEA please visit our Contact Us page.
