Clothing Drive September - October 31
The clothing drive was a community service done primarily for the Sojourner Truth Women's Shelter in Gary. We collected over 100 bags of clothes, toys, shoes & toiletry items for women and children. We also got some articles for men, that we donated to the Brothers Keeper and Gary Victory Home.

Krispy Kreme Sales
We held MANY Krispy Kreme Doughnut sales during the 2000-01 school year to help raise money for the Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference (SBSLC) held in January and Texas A&M University.
Charity Benefit March 2001
The Charity Benefit was held in the auditorium of the Savannah Center. Men and women were bided on by their peers. The money from the benefit went towards the upcoming conference HYPE hosted. Bids started at $5 and the fun started as soon as you walked in the door!
Southern Black Student Leadership Conference (SBSLC) January 18-21 2001
We attended this conference with the help of S.A.F.T and all of our Krispy Kreme Sales!! We learned so much on how to be a better person for your race and community, and had a good time on the side!
Enlightenment of the Mind Body & Soul April 27, 2001
We held this conference on the experience we learned when we went to the SBSLC back in January. About 70 high school seniors from 11 area high schools came to listen to speakers talk about credit, relationships and spirituality.
