AIDS Memorial Quilt, The - The AIDS Memorial Quilt is a poignant memorial, a powerful tool for prevention education and the largest ongoing community arts project in the world. Each of the more than 44,000 colorful panels in the Quilt memorializes the life of a person lost to AIDS. As the epidemic claims more lives, the Quilt continues to grow and to reach more communities with its messages of remembrance, awareness and hope.
Alternative Phonebook: Chicago's Lesbigay Yellowpages - Consumers use the Alternative Phonebook when they are seeking products and services because it's an easy way to find gay friendly resources. Jane's World - In case you don't know, it's hard to be a female cartoon character. If you're a female cartoon character, you are expected to make jokes about dating, raising children, dieting and anything else that relates to poor body image. But what if you are a female cartoon character who feels that life is too short for caloric concerns? What if you are a cartoon character who chases vampires, needs sensitivity training, requires career counseling and basically needs to get a life? Well, then you'd be Jane. Welcome to Jane's World. Where female cartoon characters are free to be goofy, flat-chested and self-absorbed. Jane's World, a strip for all those gals out there who are just trying to figure life out.
Matthew Shepard Foundation - The Matthew Shepard Foundation was created in December 1998 by Dennis and Judy Shepard to honor the memory of their son. The goals of the Matthew Shepard Foundation include supporting diversity programs in education and helping youth organizations establish environments where young people can feel safe and be themselves.
National Gay and Lesbian Task Force - NGLTF is the national progressive organization working for the civil rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people, with the vision and commitment to building a powerful political movement. This sight is highly recommended! There are so many USEFUL resources here, you won't know what to do with yourself!
PFLAG - PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

Queer America - QueerAmerica is a database published by OutProud, The National Coalition for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth. With over 5,000 entries, it's the largest collection of queer resources in the nation, and includes information on community centers, support organizations, PFLAG (Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians And Gays) chapters, queer youth groups, and more. These can be great places to meet friends, get questions answered, or find support.
Religious Tolerance.org - If you are concerned about your religion and your sexual orientation or gender identity, you can look here for some answers. It is a very balanced site, meaning that there are many religions covered and there are pro's and con's. This is flat-out, cited information. Highly recommended!
Soulforce - Soulforce is an interfaith movement committed to ending spiritual violence perpetuated by religious policies and teachings against gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) people. It mainly discusses Jerry Fallwell (the bad guy) and what he is doing to hurt people.
