Center for Excellence in Teaching
and Learning (CETL) |
The Center for Excellence in Teaching and
Learning (CETL) encourages and supports teacher scholarship through
collaboration among the Office of Academic Affairs, the Faculty Organization's
Faculty Development Committee and FACET members. |
Professional Development Grants

Awards will range from $300 to $600 per project and are available
for projects in these categories:
Research on pedagogy at the college/university level including
classroom assessment and classroom research.
Special, innovative teaching and learning projects in or outside
of the classroom.
Travel related to professional development in the area of teaching
and/or learning.

Office of Diversity and Equity (ODE) |
The ODE offers a variety of outreach programs
designed to stimulate campus interest and positive action for diversity
issues. Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to organize awareness
forums, continue personal education from a servant leadership perspective,
engage in programs for diversity management and work toward an enhanced
skill set for classroom delivery. These types of mini-grants and other
are available on a competitive basis and are marketed to the IUN campus
year round. |

Academic Ceremonies and Special Occasions Committee

Funds are available for special
occasions such as honorariums or travel funds for visiting lecturers.
|
Submit a request to the Academic Ceremonies and
Special Occasions
Committee using the Committee's proposal form. Enclose
a vita of the guest and a description of the event. Submit your
proposal
at least three weeks in advance of your event so that, if approved,
funds can be distributed in a timely manner. For the proposal form,
and more information, contact:
