GEOL G221 Introductory Mineralogy

Course Description

Prerequisite or Concurrent: GEOL G101 or GEOL T305; college-level course in chemistry, or permission of instructor. Crystallography: morphology, classes, twinning habit. Physical and chemical mineralogy. Description, identification, association, occurrence, and use of common and important minerals. Two lectures and two laboratories each week. Field trip optional. Credit not given for both GEOL G221 and GEOL T306. (Fall).
