GEOL G101 Introduction to Earth Science: Lecture

Course Description

Earth Science is a term used to describe all of the sciences that collectively seek to understand the Earth and the dynamic processes that operate on and within it.  This course is designed as an introduction to the principles of Earth Science.  In this course, you will be introduced to the processes that produce volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, shape the landscape, and produce hurricanes and tornadoes.  The relationship among the solid Earth, the Earth’s oceans, atmosphere and life on the planet is a central theme. 

G101 is offered during Fall, Spring, and occasionally during Summer sessions.

Credit may be earned for only one of the following: GEOL G101, GEOL G103, GEOL G107.
