Major in Geology B.A.

Requirements
25 credit hours of geology, including GEOL G103, GEOL G209, GEOL G221-GEOL G222, GEOL G317, any 300-level geology course, any 400-level geology lecture course, and either GEOL G490 or GEOL G410.

Plus, one of the following sequences:

CHEM C105-CHEM C125 and 10 additional credit hours of chemistry, mathematics, or physics or Chemistry CHEM C101-CHEM C121, CHEM C102-CHEM C122, and 5 credit hours of mathematics (mathematics courses must be at or above the 100 level; MATH M100 and T-courses are excluded), or physics (recommended for students with weak high school backgrounds in chemistry or algebra). (GEOL G490 or GEOL G410 fulfills the capstone requirement with a grade of C or higher.) Students must also complete the general requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences.
