Neil Goodman, M.F.A. Tyler School of Art Neil Goodman's work is intimately linked to the northwest Indiana region, where he has lived and worked through most of his life. A professor of art at IU Northwest since 1979, Goodman was one of the founding members of the IUN art department. Presently he chairs the IUN Gallery Committee as wells as serves as the faculty chair for the Center for Cultural Discovery and Learning. He also teaches sculpture, drawing, and fundamental studio courses at IUN. Goodman's work has been exhibited and reviewed frequently. He has numerous one person exhibitions throughout the country as well as significant public and private commissions throughout the United States. In the Chicago area, two of Goodman's most visible public projects include a monumental wall relief at the Chicago McCormick Place South Pavilion and a permanent large-scale bronze installation at the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art at Northwestern University. Additionally, Goodman has recently completed the IUN sculpture garden (Shadows & Echoes), ten large scale outdoor bronze sculptures centered in the heart of the campus. |
