Dr. Saleem Rasheed
WelcomeSaleem Rasheed , Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Special Education in the School of Education at Indiana University Northwest. Rasheed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1998. He received his Masters of Science degree in Special Education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2001. Dr. Rasheed earned his Ph.D. degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2005. Prior to joining the faculty at Indiana University Northwest, he has worked a number of years in the public school systems in Illinois as a teacher to students with special needs. Dr. Rasheed’s research focus has been in working with students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders and students with Learning Disabilities. He has trained teachers to perform Person Centered Planning in the school system for Individualized Educational Planning (IEP) meetings.
