VII. Resolution: It is moved that the following "Mission Statement" be approved and forwarded to the President of Indiana University.
As a regional campus of Indiana University, the mission of Indiana University Northwest is to provide a quality and relevant education to the citizens of Northwest Indiana, the most diverse urban and industrialized area of the state. IUN strives to create a community dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, leading to undergraduate and selected graduate degrees in the liberal arts and sciences, and professional disciplines. By this mission , IUN is dedicated to the value of education, to the growth of the region, and to participation in regional and state economic development. It is also strongly committed to diversity.
