This faculty checklist should assist you in all your ERIS needs.
ERIS Requirements:
- Must provide original material (books, periodicals, or Journals) copies are not accepted.
- All material to be placed on ERIS must be brought in with this request.
- Material must be free of all markings (highlighters, underlines, etc.).
- Not over 50% of book / article will be allowed for Reserve.
- Must submit Syllabus.
- Will be on in 30 days from date received & removed last day of finals (Friday).
6 weeks prior to the beginning semester
Faculty should:
- Review next semester's material for each class being taught.
- If a course is already on ERIS, check the website to see if the material currently on-line is correct. This includes the syllabus.
- If a course is not already on ERIS, please review your syllabus to be sure the syllabus reflects articles you plan to view through ERIS.
- Assemble ALL original materials (books, periodicals, or Journals) which will be placed on ERIS. The syllabus will reflect these materials.
- Be sure syllabus is on top of the materials.
- If you don't already have an ERIS Intake Form, download one from the ERIS site or obtain an ERIS Intake Form from the Circulation Desk.
- ERIS items must be completely detailed on the ERIS Intake Form.
4 weeks prior to the beginning semester
You will receive an ERIS new item reminder letter.
- Be sure to submit items as soon as possible after this notice since ERIS staff needs materials 30 days from date received to process them.
Notice:
- Students will be added to access your ERIS Reserves only at two times:
- One week before the start of the semester
- The final date for drop & add of classes (e-mail will be sent on that day)
1 week prior to the beginning of the semester
You will receive an ERIS reminder e-mail requesting usernames for access to your files. This is Important!
- Send ERIS usernames to ERIS by replying to the reminder e-mail.
You can obtain all usernames of students in your classes through OnCourse. If you are not sure how to do this, please refer to the CETL's Rosters for ERIS - step-by-step web page: . If you need further assistance, contact CETL IT Instructional Specialist,

Drop and Add
You will receive an ERIS reminder e-mail requesting usernames for access to your files.
- This is the last date that username changes will be made for students accessing ERIS for this semester. Take action Now!
Last Day of Finals
- Usernames will be removed on classes for the semester.
