I. WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This workshop seminar is designed for professional development. The topics to be presented are ones that should capture the attention of any practicing educator. Presentations will feature a variety of IUN's full-time faculty who will be presenting and leading discussions concerning issues that are in the forefront of current concern and that are focuses for present school reform and action into the 21st Century.

The general objective of the workshop is to cause practicing educators to reflect on reforms occurring in the field of education.

I. PROCEDURES

The course will be conducted largely on a lecture, discussion, and class participation basis. One or more of the following techniques may be used from time to time when, in the judgment of the instructor, they are deemed appropriate:

The facilitator/instructor assumes the maturity of the participants will cause them to participate fully in the workshop. Input into and inquires on the topics under consideration are expected. Participants expected to maintain notes in their journals. The workshop will be graded on a S/F basis only.
