I am an Assistant Professor of Education at Indiana University-Northwest. I currently teach introduction to teaching, elementary science methods, and a graduate course in portfolio development. I have also taught elementary mathematics methods, elementary social studies methods, integrated early childhood math-science, graduate level science methods courses, and supervised field experiences. I try to model best practices and curriculum integration, and to practice what I teach. My job is not to show you how smart I am, but to help you see how smart you are! In 2004 I won the university-wide Leiber Associate Instructor Award, and in 2006 my dissertation was nominated for the American Education Research Association Division K Outstanding Dissertation Award.
