Millie Pilot, Political Editor for WJOB Radio in Hammond, compiled this collection of reports, correspondence, minutes, newsletters, newsclippings, and photographs during her career as a reporter and an active participant in community affairs. The records document the history of politics, education, econmic development and social organizations in the Region, primarily focusing upon Hammond and Lake County. Of special interest is a series of audio recordings from her radio show and reports, dealing with state legislators and legislation, health, welfare, and other topics.
