Evaluations will be based upon the following criteria.
SPIRIT (required) :
- Teamwork - ability to work in groups
- Leadership ability
- Friendly disposition
- Smiles throughout clinics and tryouts
CHEER & DANCE (required):
- Learn a Floor Cheer – you will learn this at the clinic
- Learn two - five sideline chants – you will learn these at
the clinic
- Learn the IU fight song and school song (tentative)
PARTNER STUNTS:
Some basic stunts and mounts may be taught at the clinic for evaulation
during the tryout.
TUMBLING & GYMNASTICS:
Cartwheels, round-offs, hand springs (front, back running, standing),
flips, and any other tumbling ability will be tested. Please note it
is not expected that everyone be a gymnast, however for those who do
not score as well on their tumbling must score very well on the cheers,
chants, and dance routine to compensate for a lack of tumbling skill.
MISCELANEOUS ITEMS MUST BE DONE BEFORE CLINIC:

REQUIRED DRESS FOR TRYOUTS & CLINIC (no exceptions,
anything other than the required attire will result in a lower score):
FEMALES
- Plain White T-Shirt Or Tank Top (No lettering and No bar midriffs
or bellies showing please).
- Black Cheer/Plain Shorts.
- White Ankle Socks .
- Clean White Tennis Shoes.
- White Hair Ribbon if your hair is long enough. Long and medium
length hair must be pulled back off the face and secured.
- No visible body piercings or tatoos.
MEN
- White T-Shirt (No Lettering)
- Black Shorts
- White Shoes
- White Ankle Socks
- No facial hair - must be clean shaven.
