The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) has been established at IUN to encourage and support teacher scholarship through collaboration among the Office of Academic Affairs, the Faculty Organization's Faculty Development Committee and FACET members. CETL began formal operations in the Spring of 2002. The Center is under Academic Affairs and is housed in the Library Conference Center. CETL has established a Board of Advisors and a Steering Committee to provide faculty input on setting program priorities.

CETL strives to facilitate the success of new faculty and provide continuing professional development opportunities for all faculty members. To reach this end, CETL hosts and coordinates a variety of events related to teaching effectiveness. CETL also works with individual faculty members and entire departments on a range of topics related to teaching and learning.
