Job Title:
Security Operations Manager - Chicago
Job Description:
Work directly with Branch Manager to assure compliance with service contracts, report and assist to resolve client issues, prepare and update post procedures, assist in start-ups of new accounts, communicate labor needs to HR Dept.; review operational paperwork, including incident reports, for accuracy and timeliness. Assist in the selection process of field service workers per Division and Corporate guidelines. Perform day-to-day operations necessary to provide security services as contracted with the clients. Train, schedule, and supervise service workers, coupled with the supervision of designated security account members. Works with operations manager to ensure good communications and clear procedural follow-through among employees, clients, operational support members and branch management. Assist and perform the progressive counseling / disciplinary advisories per company protocols; follow up with employees on probation or leave of absences. Screen and process vacation requests. Coordinate with HR Dept. staffer on unemployment claims; follow-up on work. comp incidents. Assist company .management expand client relationships, establish and generate new business relationships.
- Job Purpose:
- To assist the Branch Manager in supervising security service employees and related operations in our mixed business accounts in our established Branch and metropolitan areas.
- Work Schedule:
- Full-time exempt / salaried position.
- Usual business hours during the week, but on-call on weekends and available evenings, weekends and holidays and during emergencies or client issues or meetings.
- Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Experience:
- Previous supervisory / management experience in the security industry or related field.
- Security-core job knowledge and experience in scheduling, post order development, employee relations, and computer usage.
- Multi-tasking, solid communications skills with a service personality.
- Customer relations profile.
- All aspects of supervision of service industry employees.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associates Degree in security administration, law enforcement, business management or two years of supervisory experience in security or related field or service industry.
- Degree in related field a plus.
- Driver’s license and car.
- Successful drug test and criminal background check.
