Job Title:
Network Administrator - Level I
Job Description:
The Network Administrator Level I is responsible for implementing and supporting desktop, telecommunication, server and LAN / WAN technical systems. Network security, data and recovery are a critical element of this position.
- Essential Duties:
- Support, install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot multiple business desktops, operating systems and applications.
- Assist Help Desk in ensuring satisfactory service levels are achieved for staff and member issues.
- Install, configure and administer tape back-up hardware / software to ensure data recovery.
- Network hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Research.
- Project planning and implementation.
- Documentation and software licensing control / tracking.
- Maintain user security for email and network access.
- Maintain and administer telecommunication systems (PBX, voice mail, CSU / DSU, etc.).
- Testing.
- Monitor security using various reporting and scanning tools on a daily basis.
- Install, configure and support TCP / IP, SSL, HTTP, FTP, telnet and DNS, hubs, switches, and multiple network operating systems.
- Provide structured and unstructured technical training.
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, plus three to five year's hands-on experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting MS server environments required. MCP or similar certification preferred.
