Computer Science Internship
Job Description:
The overall goal of the internship is to assist various activities in the Unix Research & Development lab, where research into new technologies and application testing is performed. This includes:
- Tracking paperwork (invoices, shipping, parts lists).
- Physically installing servers.
- Install/troubleshoot Linux , networking, storage, cables, and peripherals.
- Moving equipment between different labs.
- Coordinating projects with other groups and documenting progress.
- Assisting developers testing applications in a lab environment.
- Requirements:
- Working towards Bachelor’s degree.
- Detail-oriented, manages time well.
- Excellent writing skill.
- Linux / Solaris and / or networking experience preferred.
- Perl and shell programming skills preferred.
- Able to lift server/networking equipment.
*Must be currently enrolled in school. No recent grads please!
