Philosophy of Student Services
In support of the University’s Shared Vision, Values, and Strategic Outcomes, as well as our own mission and objectives, the School of Business and Economics’ Faculty and Staff at Indiana University Northwest are dedicated to providing the highest quality Service, delivered with warmth, friendliness, individual pride and spirit for our Students, Families and Stakeholders. In striving to meet or exceed Student expectations for Service, the Faculty and Staff will exert every effort to:

We will provide a welcoming environment, and we will communicate effectively, in a courteous and friendly manner.

We LISTEN to Students – the most important communication skill!
- Be knowledgeable!
We know the school and campus policies and procedures that directly affect the Student. And if we don’t know it right then…we’ll find it!
- Respect individual viewpoints!
Our campus and community are richly diverse, a fact for which we are extremely proud. Our highly valued Faculty and Staff hear and respect all Student viewpoints.
- Explain and follow academic policies!
We have great respect for the institutional and academic policies of Indiana University Northwest and the School of Business and Economics, and will ensure that those policies are properly implemented and followed for Students.
- Provide accurate and timely information to Students!
The School of Business and Economics keeps Students updated on relevant information through its newsletters, website and class announcements.
- Be convenient for students!
We will keep convenient office hours and we will make every effort to respond to Student inquiries within 24 hours, either by phone or e-mail.
- Offer choices to Students!
If a problem or concern should arise, we will offer viable alternatives for Students to find resolutions.
