Activities:
Dr. Lynch is Director of the Center for Economic Education. He was the Dean of the Division of Business and Economics from 1981-1989. He was also interim Dean during the 1997-1998 academic year. He also was a postdoctoral student at the University of Chicago in 1973-1974 and a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago in the winter and spring quarters of 1988. He was a visiting fellow at Princeton University, designated as a Pew Fellow by the National Council on Economic Education. His interests include quantitative methods and fluctuations and forecasting. He is frequently called upon to give his assessment of local economic conditions, especially as they relate to the steel industry. He has been involved in the application of economics to art as a consumption and investment good.
