In a book entitled, A License for Bias: Sex Discrimination, Schools and Title IX, the widely respected American Association of University Women (AAUW) concluded in 2000 that more than 75% of women in colleges and universities have been affected by sexual harassment. This translates into a staggering number of over 5 million victims!

Studies at specific schools indicate just how blatant and common the harassment is. At one institution, 9% of all female graduate students reported receiving direct sexual propositions from male professors.

At another school, 5% of all female students reported harassment involving sexual bibery- grades for sex.

Finally, an anonymous survey of 235 male professors at a large research university revealed that 26% admitted to having had sex with students!

If we consider those women who have been directly victimized over the last 20 years, as well as their concerned parents, the total number of victims easily exceeds 50 million.
