Friday October 8, 1999 5:30 to 7:30 pm IUN Library Conference Center 105 A 134 west 35th Ave, Gary IN
The IUN student Anthropology Club and Sociology Club (and occasionally other student clubs) sponsor this event on a Friday early in every month; it is not a club business meeting, but rather an opportunity to share news and to hear speakers and discuss topics which are of common
interest. These get-togethers are not just for club members, but are open to all students, staff, and faculty, and to members of the greater community; typically about 30 people attend -- so we have moved it to this larger room. The usual format is announcements followed by the speaker, then after an hour we break for pizza (provided by the A & S Dean's Office), and and then have a discussion afterwards.MEETING: The Anthropology Club and Sociology Club each regularly have business meetings at 4 pm on the same day in the same room as the Friday speaker.
