Anthropology Club Minutes for December 4, 2003

I. Old Business

A. The club has decided to hold off on the purchase of a digital camera.

1) The Sociology/Anthropology Department has decided they are going to purchase a digital camera

(a) The club would be able to reserve and check it out for special events

B. Reimbursements were handed out to students who applied and attended the conference at Grand Rapids University
C. The 2004 issue of the AAA's guide to graduate schools is now available

(a) The club will purchase this

D. Book Sale Tee Shirt

1) There has been some difficulty with the designer's computer program where it is not possible to over lay one color on top of the black and white design.
2) Idea presented to ask the silk screen company to make an additional screen where a yellow green color could be over laid on top of the black and white design.

II. New Business

A. Mike is now the webmaster for the anthropology club so if faculty or students would like to email photos to him of anthropological events that they have attended please do so.

1) He can add them to the web site if you email them over Christmas break.

B. The committee that is organizing a beatifying project for Gary and the IUN campus has contacted Dr. Mucci and asked him if he would like to get the anthropology club garden up and growing again.

1) The land is not yet available so this would not be for some time.
2) Inexpensive plaques to label the plants are also for purchasable if the garden will be re-grown.
