I. Old Business
A. Financial Report
1) As of 10/31/03 the club account has $10,563.13
2) As of 10/31/03
there is $1401.91 in petty cash
B. The Book sale tee shirt ideas are still being perused
C. The club has decided to put off the purchase of a digital camera
until after Christmas
1) Ideas for camera capability include: motion, sound, and upgradeable
memory
II. New Business
A. The club needs to eventually organize the old records within the
club's filing cabinet
1) Do we want to organize a committee?
B. From last years organization of the filing cabinet two copy machine
cards were found
C. Planning for spring semester speakers
1) Dr. Greenberg needs to be contacted to find out if he can give a
presentation on Thursday or Friday of next semester
(a) or to find out what would be the best date for him to visit our
campus
(b) his visit will mesh with the forensic anthropology course in
spring semester
2) We need more ideas for speakers for next semester
(a) Can we get an archaeologist?
(b) Would we like to invite Scooter
the new French professor who is from Canada and will be teaching a course
about the Caribbean next semester?
3) Should we continue to have meetings in the Women's Center?
(a) Could we have meetings closer to the lab?

D. Book Sale
1) At the next book sale should we organize a committee to set up a
poster board with club events and pictures?
2) Do we want to give tee
shirts to students who participate in the book sale for "X" amount of
hours?
(a) If idea is approved, what should "X" amount of hours be?
E. Need to start planning for next semesters Darwin Day celebration
F. Thoughts to unify and get the word out to students on campus about
the club
1) Have a late September Potlatch were those in attendance could bring
a dish to share
(a) Would allow for discussion and mingling among people
(b) Wait to
have a couple of meetings so people could settle into the semester
-hopefully this would allow for a higher turn out
2) Revitalize the "Vessel of Intrigue"
(a) Possibly set an allotted amount of time aside during meetings for
discussion of anthropology
