I. Book Sale
A. We will have enough tables
1) Currently looking for a new locked space so we do not have the same
problem with missing tables next semester

II. Habitat for Humanity is all rapped up

A. American Anthropological Association guide to graduate schools
1) Includes listings of universities, professors, and detailed programs
all over the country, addresses and phone numbers included
(a) This is a great starting point of reference for undergrads who are
interested in masters and PhD programs
B. AFOB Archaeology Institute of America
1) The 2004 issue will be purchased and offers field school opportunities,
and sites all over the world.
C. Once ordered they will be kept in Dr. Mucci's office and will be
open to all interested students
IV. Grand Valley State University Medical Imaging in Bioanthropology
A. Peru 2004 Season Workshop November 14-15, 2003
1) Workshop fulfills requirements to participate in 2004 for Peru field
research seasons
(a) First come, first served
2) 2003 Peru Season Workshop is designed to prepare radiographers
an other appropriate persons (as approved by the Director for field
work in Peru radio graphing pre-Columbian mummies, and animal bone,
pottery, and other artifacts as needed. The workshop will also serve
as an orientation and informational forum for those who have professional
interest in bioanthropological investigations using medical imaging.
The field work season in Peru is usually May-July but many condition
can impact the actual assignment dates and locations.
3) The 2004 field
research season emphasis will be on radiography and surface survey work
of new sites along with completion of research projects. Field research
teams will be selected to best carry out specific research proposals.
This workshop will help orient participants to a diverse range of fields
of study as well as research guidelines.
