One to four awards of $500 each may be given in any one year. If after the first round of awards, the entire $2000 has not been given out, additional funds may be given to any of the winners who have chosen field schools with unusually high costs, such as all-summer-long ones, or ones overseas. Students requesting such additional funding sould provide extra detail of both the expenses and the educational value of their activity. Such additional awards will be limited by the total budget of $2000.
