General education requirements may be taken at Indiana University Northwest (IUN) or any accredited college or university on a part-time basis. The following courses that are followed by (G) meet the general education requirements of the School of Nursing and Health Professions. *Courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better:

To graduate, the student must satisfactorily complete 122 credit hours to include 55 credit hours of prerequisite and general education courses and 67 credit hours of professional 300-400 level courses. All professional courses must be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or higher. All course work must be completed in compliance with academic and professional policies of the program and school.

CAREER OPTIONS:
Radiation therapists find employment in hospitals, research centers, and a growing number of free-standing clinics. In addition, with experience, a radiation therapist may advance to administration, dosimetry, education, research, or commercial sales.

PROGRAM ADMISSION PROCESS: 

Applicants for admission to the program will be expected to:

  1. Submit an application.
  2. Provide evidence of registration or registration eligibility with the accrediting agency for which they obtained their associate degree, if applicable.
  3. Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for all radiography courses.
  4. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale for all course work.
  5. Maintain a minimum grade of C (2.0) in all stated prerequisite courses.
  6. Participate in a personal interview.

Preference is given to applicants who are Indiana residents and/or to applicants who complete the majority of applicable course work at a college or university in Indiana.
