To graduate, the student must satisfactorily complete 122 credit hours to include 79 credit hours of prerequisite and general education courses and 43 credit hours of professional 300-400 level courses. All professional courses must be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or higher. All course work must be completed in compliance with academic and professional policies of the program and school.

CAREER OPTIONS:
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Concentration provides graduates for careers as diagnostic medical sonographers.

PROGRAM ADMISSION PROCESS: 

Applicants for admission to the program will be expected to:

  1. Submit an Allied health application. (Deadline Date February 1st)
  2. Provide evidence of registration or registration eligibility with the accrediting agency for which they obtained their associate degree, if applicable.
  3. Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for all radiography courses.
  4. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale for all course work.
  5. Maintain a minimum grade of C (2.0) in all stated prerequisite courses.
  6. Participate in a personal interview.

Preference is given to applicants who are Indiana residents and/or to applicants who complete the majority of applicable course work at a college or university in Indiana.
