Some radiographers seek employment in industry or in the marketing and sales of x-ray products. Radiographers can specialize in areas such as cardiovascular interventional technology, ultrasound, computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, education, and administration. For the most part, specialization requires additional course work. The associate degree can also be used to transfer into a baccalaureate program in radiologic sciences. Alternatively, the student may choose to pursue a degree in health services administration or health occupations education. Baccalaureate programs require completion of at least two additional years of study. |
