Joe Pellicciotti has served as Vice Chancellor for Administration since August 2008.  Prior to beginning his current position, he served as an associate vice chancellor (2003-2008) and as the Director of the IU Northwest Division of Public & Environmental Affairs and Political Science (1990-2003).  He chairs the IU Northwest Crisis Management Team and is the campus’ representative to the University Emergency Preparedness Committee.

Pellicciotti first taught at IU Northwest as a part-time faculty member in 1980.  He has been a member of the full-time faculty since 1984, receiving the IU Northwest Founder's Day Teaching Award in 1989.  In 1997 he was promoted to Professor of Public & Environmental Affairs.

Pellicciotti holds B.A. (Political Science), Master of Public Administration, and J.D. (Cum Laude) degrees.  He completed a graduate certificate program in Ethics and has been a member of the bar in Indiana since 1976.

His publications include books, monographs, legal annotations, and journal articles, and his work has appeared in a broad range of publications, including the Baylor Law Review, Loyola Law Review, Boston University Public Interest Law Journal, Public Personnel Management, Journal of Contemporary Criminal Justice, Tulsa Journal of International and Comparative Law, DePaul Business Law Journal, Journal of Police Science and Administration, Pace International Law Journal, Loyola of Los Angeles Comparative and International Law Journal, and American Law Reports Federal.
