Support Services Abroad The University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) Bilbao / Getxo program has a Resident Director who is responsible for the USAC office abroad and overall operations of the program: securing appropriate student housing, hiring outstanding faculty, organizing exciting field trips and optional tours, and overseeing your general well-being. Dr. Ibon Zamanillo is the Resident Director for the Bilbao / Getxo program. Ibon holds an MS in Industrial Engineering from the Engineering School of Bilbao and graduated Cum Laude with a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of the Basque Country. He has been a faculty member at the University of the Basque Country for ten years, and an esteemed business professor for the USAC Bilbao / Getxo program since 2002. Ibon will meet the group flight at the airport, arrange for you to be taken to your housing and provide an on-site orientation. The USAC Bilbao / Getxo staff also provides additional assistance and resources while you are on the program. Dr. Eva Mendieta, Associate Professor of Spanish at IU Northwest, and also a Bilbao native, will be in Bilbao for the duration of the program as Indiana University Coordinator helping students with their adjustment to the environment and the academic program. |
