Cost of the Program - 2009

Summer fees are:

  • $3,080

This fee includes:

  • USAC tuition and fees
  • housing with a family (meals included)
  • USAC Resident Director and staff support
  • pre-departure information
  • airport pick-up for those on the group flight and tour
  • USAC orientation in Bilbao
  • student health insurance
  • field trips (lunch included)
  • some entries to museums and cultural events
  • immersion activities
  • transportation to and from school

Estimated expenses not included in fees:

  • 3-4 credit hours payable to IU Northwest (3 cr: $547 - 4 cr: $761)
  • airfare - $1,400-1,600 (group flight available)
  • personal expenses - $300-500 / session
  • textbooks - $75-175 / session
  • transportation from Bilbao to Madrid at the conclusion of the program - $50-70
  • optional Madrid Tour - $750
  • optional Camino de Santiago Field Study - $800
