Academic Institution Abroad The USAC office, classrooms, and other student facilities are located at the Leioa campus of the University of the Basque Country. The university is located three miles from Getxo and 5 miles from Bilbao, and is served by convenient bus services. About 17,000 students study in that campus of the UPV, that has a total enrolment of 50,000. While enrolled in the program, IU students will enjoy the same privileges accorded to UPV local students. They will be encouraged to participate in local university activities, student clubs, and organizations along with local students. As part of the proposed academic program, IU students enrolled in Spanish courses will be assigned to meet periodically with a conversational partner.
