International Business and Spanish Studies Program in Bilbao-SPAIN

Program Description

The Bilbao Summer Program is a three-week session (from June 23 through July 18, 2009), with an optional four-day tour in Madrid and other cities of cultural, historic and artistic significance. This program is ideal for those unable to participate on semester or year-long programs.

The uniqueness of the Bilbao Summer Program allows students to develop an international business career and/or a bilingual career.

Students may focus on two specific academic areas:

  1. Spanish language and Cultural studies or
  2. International Business.
Bilbao Coast

These fields are not exclusive of one another and students can combine courses from both areas, up to a total of four credits. This allows students to complete one semester of language studies in one session. For those who have already taken Spanish, or those who wish to study exclusively in English, this program offers courses taught in English.

These academic windows are complemented by the opportunity to experience the culture through personal interaction with local students and field trips to sites of social, historic, artistic and economic interest.

Students from Indiana University will take classes at the University of the Basque Country (UPV) premises through the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC). USAC is a consortium of some 30 American universities that has been developing programs with the University of the Basque Country for 25 years.
