WIUN, Indiana University Northwest's Campus Radio Station, has successfully recruited a new team with great new ideas for the future of WIUN Radio and its role within the campus community. Stay tuned for photos of our new staff, plus staff bios to help you get to know them a little better. WIUN features music from independent and major record labels throughout the United States and the world. We play 24/7 online and feature a dedicated stream for live broadcasts of WIUN Sports, Men's and Women's Basketball and Women's Volleyball when in season.
We are looking for new staff members at all times to help us stay up to date with local news and music. We like to be an outlet for local musicians to get their music heard. As Indiana University Northwest's only radio station, we play to the campus community in the Moraine Student Cafeteria and to anyone following us and listening to Indiana University Northwest RedHawk games.
Want to be a part of the team? We have immediate openings in the following areas:
-Music Review & Programming: Members of the Music Review and Programming Committee receive and review music submitted to us from record labels, solicit record labels for upcoming artists, and decide the overall sound of WIUN.
-Sports: WIUN Sports Broadcasters attend games, do live play-by-play, color commentary, and interviews with players and coaches. In the offseason we do shows relating to sports in the Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland region. Other kinds of sports programming are also welcome!
-Outreach: Members of the Outreach department create relationships with student groups on campus to get the latest news of what is going on around campus, coordinate with different programs to stay up to date with their plans to improve the campus community, and create public service announcements and news items to be streamed via our webstream to the campus and the world
-DJ's & Hosts: WIUN Supports programming from independent DJ's playing unique programming covering topics from Jazz to Contemporary Social Issues.
Contact us at [[wiun]] to join our team today! We have weekly meetings & get-togethers to keep up-to-date with committee work.

On March 24th, the BP Whiting oil refinery spilled about 1,638 gallons of oil into Lake Michigan due to a malfunctioning distillation unit. Many claimed that it was not that "big of a deal." Dr. Peter Avis of Biology and Business Reporter Joe Pete of The Times will discuss the impact of this oil spill.
Achived show forthcoming.
