To ensure IT student labs, the portable classroom laptops, STCs, and technology classroom lecterns have appropriate software each spring and fall semester, UITS Northwest notifies the campus by email when it is time to submit software requests for the next semester. The "standard build" includes software used by all disciplines, such as Microsoft Office. Completion of the "Software Request Form" is only necessary if you require other/additional software. If special software is required, it is your responsiblity as the requestor to provide appropriate licenses, installation media or site license information.
A finely-tuned schedule for submission, testing and deployment deadlines is developed for each new build. A smooth start for the semester depends on strict adherance to the deadlines by everyone involved. The online Software Request Form is only available during the scheduled submission periods.
The submission period for Fall 2014 has ended. Testing will start July 7, 2014. Contact the Support Center if you have any questions about the process.
