Software Request Form

Computer Classroom and STC Software Requests

To ensure computer classrooms, the portable classroom laptops, STCs, and technology classroom lecterns have appropriate software each spring and fall semester, UITS Northwest notifies the campus by email when it is time to submit software requests for the next semester. The "standard build" includes software used by all disciplines, such as Microsoft Office. Completion of the "Software Request Form" is only necessary if you require other/additional software. If special software is required, it is your responsiblity as the requestor to provide appropriate licenses, installation media or site license information.

Windows 8.1 will be on the builds for all STC Windows PCs for Fall 2014. We need your help to ensure that the software you need for your classes is included in this build and is compatible with Windows 8.1. 

To request software to be installed on the build, please complete the Software Request Form.

  • You must login to complete the form.
  • Your username will be kept with the request.
  • The date you submitted the form will be included with the request.

Hand deliver software, loading instructions, documentation and licenses to the UITS Northwest Support Center located in Hawthorn 108. Software media and licenses will be retained by UITS-NW for the duration of its inclusion on the lab build.

The following software will be automatically included as part of the Basic Build package and does not require a request unless you have custom settings or other special instructions regarding these packages:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • iTunes
  • Microsoft Office 2013 - PC
  • Microsoft Office 2011 - Mac
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Citrix Receiver
  • Mac OS X utilities: Safari, Quicktime Player, etc.
  • Windows 8.1 utilities: Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, etc.

Important: Software requested must be compatible with Windows 8.1 and Office 2013 for PC and OS X version 10.9 and Office 2011 for Mac.

Please request any and all software that might have been requested in previous years as software will not be installed without a current Software Request Form.

Dates for requesting software to be included on the Fall 2014 lab and STC computers for Fall 2014 are as follows:

  • Software Request Forms Due: April 30, 2014, 5:00 p.m. (submit online using the above link)
  • Build Testing by Faculty: July 7 – 11, 2014, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., in the Support Center HH108
  • Online Problem Forms Due: July 21, 2014, 5:00 p.m. 
  • Build installation into STC's and Teaching Labs: August 21 - 24, 2014
  • Classes begin: August 25, 2014

Please remind other faculty members, including adjuncts, to have their Software Request Forms in on time.
