Resources for Faculty and Staff

The following offices provide administrative support for the teaching, research, and service activities of IU Northwest's faculty and staff members.

Services and Resources

Academic Affairs—oversees academic programs, policies, and other areas related to the faculty.

Academic Calendars—list key dates for each semester and summer session, including exam schedules.

ADA Accessibility at IU Northwest — information on who to contact, how to request accomodation, and other links related to ADA accessibility at IU Northwest.

Administration, Office of — oversees activities central to the long-term operational success of the campus.

Alumni Relations—provides activities and services for IU Northwest alumni.

Bookstore—offers everything you need from textbooks and software to IU gear and merchandise.

Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning—encourages and supports teacher scholarship through faculty development and orientation programs.

Chancellor's Office—provides leadership for matters that affect academic programs, research, and outreach involving faculty, students, and staff.

Credit Union — provides services for IU Northwest faculty, staff and students. Membership in the Indiana University Credit Union, located in the Moraine Student Center, is open to all.

Development Office—raises funds for the university and works to establish productive relationships between IU Northwest and the surrounding area.

Diversity and Equity Office—campus and community resource for diversity and equity issues. Prime contact for campus search and screen committees.

Emergency Preparedness and Critical Information—learn what to do in case of an emergency on campus and information for your personal safety and security.

Environmental Health and Safety—ensures environmental, fire, and laboratory safety on campus.

Fiscal Affairs, Office of — helps direct campus financial operations, develops and monitors campus budgets.

Human Resources—oversees hiring activities, personnel policies, training and development, benefits, and payroll.

Marketing and Communications—provides information about current news and events, experts on a wide variety of topics and issues, tips on news stories, and other information of interest to the news media. The office also provides media relations and communications and marketing expertise to campus departments and faculty and staff members.

Multicultural Affairs—helps support students of color at IU Northwest.

Parking Services—offers parking for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the IU Northwest campus.

Special Events Office—manages indoor and outdoor events for on-campus departments and off-campus organizations.

Trustees of Indiana University—governs the Indiana University system.

Wellness Team—promotes and preserves the mental, physical, environmental, and spiritual wellness of IU Northwest employees and their family members through comprehensive wellness promotion programs and activities.

Weather Watch and Emergency Closing Information— for weather updates and media sources for emergency closings.

WIUN - Streamed Radio—This station is for and about  our campus and the communities which IU Northwest serves -- which is why we are now recruiting students, staff, and members of neighboring communities to contribute news, programs and announcements. In addition, we are looking for local talent to contribute original music, as well as talk program guests.

Faculty/Staff Organizations and Committees

American Association of University Professors (AAUP), IU Northwest Chapter—represents the interests of all college and university faculty members.

Computer Committee—recommends policy regarding computer laboratory use, supported software, and equipment purchase and repair.

Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching (FACET)—established as an Indiana University Presidential Initiative in 1989 to promote and sustain teaching excellence.

Faculty Organization—has the legislative authority to establish policy and determine procedures related to the teaching, research, and service aspects of the university's academic mission.

Professional Staff Organization—represents the interests of professional and administrative employees on campus.

Survey and Curriculum Committee—addresses matters of general education requirements and campus curriculum.
