Student Services

Academic Student Success Assistance—offers tutoring in many topics including math and reading.

ADA Accessibility at IU Northwest — information on who to contact, how to request accomodation, and other links related to ADA accessibility at IU Northwest.

Bookstore—find everything you need from textbooks and software to IU gear and merchandise.

Career Services—helps students and alumni plan for successful careers and secure meaningful employment. Services include interest testing, advising and counseling, a career resource library, on-campus recruiting, job fairs and career days, internship program, work study services, and a job listing file.

Continuing Studies — offers the Associate of General Studies and the Bachelor of General Studies degrees and certificate programs, as well as credit and noncredit courses, conferences, and seminars designed for students of all ages.

Counseling Office — provides individual short-term counseling for emotional difficulties and personal growth workshops that promote mental and emotional health.

Credit Union — provides services for IU Northwest faculty, staff and students. Membership in the Indiana University Employees Federal Credit Union, located in the Moraine Student Center, is open to all.

Heath Insurance — available to undergraduates taking at least 6 credit hours and graduate students taking at least 3 credit hours.

Internships — confirm your career and academic choice, network with professionals, gain real world experience, and increase your marketability with an internship.

Multicultural Affairs — helps support students of color at IU Northwest. Services include a faculty mentor program, academic advising and support services, and minority student advocacy on campus.

Occupational Development — addresses the academic needs of students pursuing an associate degree or certificate in allied health, nursing, dental education, or public and environmental affairs.

Police Department — comprised of professional law enforcement personnel, all of whom are committed to providing a safe campus environment. Services include the Univesity Police Escort Service and emergency phones placed throughout campus.

Student Code — ("IU Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct")—contains descriptions of students' rights, responsibilities, and misconduct behaviors. Also contains procedures for complaints and disciplinary (+ appeals) processes.

Student Life and Athletics — works with more than 70 student organizations, oversees all student publications, and houses the student government. It also organizes IU Northwest's Division II intercollegiate athletic teams, club teams, intramural teams, and the College Bowl.

Student Support Services — offers personal and academic support services to help eligible students adjust to life at IU Northwest and earn their degrees. This office services students with disabilities and makes referals.
